Omeda Studios is at an exciting stage where the team is just starting to form, you’ll have a direct impact at an early stage company in creating Build pipeline for the game. You will help determine the resource needs and coordinate various disciplines internally and externally.
In This Role You Will
- Develop and Maintain CI/CD Pipeline
- Build code CI/CD to catch compilation breaks Build and Deliver the game as standalone packages
- Maintain Project infrastructure related to CI/CD like physical machines, perforce servers, web servers, cloud machine services, NAS space, artifactory, asset store, etc
- Develop services and manage environments specifically tailored to building the game code efficiently and without interruption to development work
- Streamline time intensive or repetitive tasks through use of automation, packaging, and silent installations
- Innovate, develop, and maintain the existing Unreal Engine 5 build pipeline (TeamCity, Python, and Unreal’s RunUAT/BuildGraph tool)
- Innovate, develop, and maintain the deployment pipeline (Steam, Epic Games Store, Game Server Backend)
- Integrate and maintain pre and post-flight automation testing into the pipeline
- Develop alerts and monitoring for the build system
What We're Looking For
- Good experience as a DevOps or Build Engineer
- Hunger for improving the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) of the studio, be it within your skill set or others’
- Competent user of scripting languages such as Python or Powershell
- Experienced in setting up, maintaining, and administrating Jenkins/TeamCity/Bamboo/Gitlab
- Proactive in improving the CI/CD flow by reaching out to developers and identifying pain points in their Developer Experience (DX)/SDLC that can be solved with the tools of which you have ownership and accountability
- Effective written and verbal communication of technical details
- Ability to write accessible and relevant documentation for technical and non-technical colleagues
- Excellent in troubleshooting issues in tooling
Nice to Have:
- Experience with setting up, maintaining, and administrating Perforce
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS
- Experience with setting up and maintaining VPN
- Experience with maintaining Helix Swarm
Salary band for this role is £30k-£50k depending on experience
